A gathering of human rights associations has requested the Australian government evacuate all youngster haven searchers hung on the Pacific island of Nauru.

It comes as reports of a 12-year-old kid on a weeks-in length hunger strike fuelled new feelings of dread about their wellbeing.

The #KidsOffNauru coalition needs the 119 kids on the island resettled by November.

Australia’s dubious seaward detainment approach has been condemned for its toll on shelter searchers.
