A 95-year-old previous Nazi teammate who served in the infamous SS as a work camp protect in World War Two has landed in Germany after a long extradition fight in the US.

Jakiw Palij has been stateless since a government judge renounced his US citizenship in 2003.

For quite a long time Germany declined to acknowledge him as he never had German nationality.

Subsequent to touching base in Düsseldorf he was being taken to a look after the elderly, German reports say.

The US diplomat in Berlin, Richard Grenell, lauded Germany’s new government and President Donald Trump’s “essential initiative” in settling the case.
