Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has revealed to US administrators the organization’s calculations have not generally been “unbiased”.
He said the stage “unreasonably” diminished the perceivability of 600,000 records, including a few individuals from Congress.
However, he was not able promptly say whether a greater part of them were Republican, Democratic or something else.
Mr Dorsey is being addressed by legislators over charges that Twitter edits moderate voices.
A few Republicans, including US President Donald Trump, have blamed Twitter for predisposition, which the organization denies.
“Twitter does not utilize political belief system to settle on any choices, regardless of whether identified with positioning substance on our administration or how we implement our tenets,” said Mr Dorsey.
In any case, he said the organization had committed errors.
On Wednesday, the US Department of Justice said it would explore “developing worry that these organizations might hurt rivalry and deliberately smothering the free trade of thoughts on their stages”.
