Around 25300 hopefuls showed up in J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2018 led easily by Public Service Commission (JKPSC) at 65 examination scenes over the State on Sunday.
As indicated by Controller Examinations, JKPSC, Khalid Majeed, the examination was led in two sessions from 10 am to 12 twelve and from 2 pm to 4 pm, in which 25354 applicants showed up in forenoon session and 25310 in evening session with a general level of 72.70% in forenoon session and 72.50% toward the evening session.
He said 34873 hopefuls had connected for showing up in the exam.
Khalid said 92 senior level KAS officers, deputed by the General Administration Department, administered the direct the examination held under the general supervision of the Principals/Heads of the diverse organizations who were assigned as Supervisors for the exam.
He said in the sub-focuses situated in Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Kargil, Leh and Rajouri, the examination was led under the general supervision of the concerned Deputy Commissioners who were assigned as Custodians/Coordinating Supervisors.
“The touchy exam material was transported to the separate examination scenes under the supervision of the Magistrates designated by the Deputy Commissioners and the Police help was accommodated safe transportation of the same,” he said.
Khalid said the JKCC Exam-2018 is being led to make choices against 70 posts in the Junior Scale of the J&K Administrative Service, J&K Police (Gazetted) Service and J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service.
