Five individuals from a family, including three minors, were killed on Monday when their mud house was covered under flotsam and jetsam after an avalanche in the uneven Doda locale.

The occurrence happened in remote Gali Bhatoli town of Gandoh when the ‘dhok’ (mud house) of Noor Mohammad Gujjar was pounded under the trash, a police official said.

After the episode, villagers promptly propelled a save task and were later joined by a police group.

“Five bodies were hauled out from the mud house,” the authority said.

The expired were distinguished as Bashir Ahmad (25), his significant other Nageena (23), Zulfi Banoo (nine) and Mohammad Sharief (eight) and one-and-a-half-year old young lady.

A dairy animals and a wild ox were recouped alive from the spot.
