One of the mysterious informers in the sex misuse body of evidence against R. Kelly has spoken openly out of the blue.
“I’m not embarrassed about my past any longer,” Lanita Carter disclosed to CBS News. “I’m not embarrassed about what naysayers state.”
Carter, who was at one time Kelly’s beautician, asserts the R&B star attempted to drive her into oral sex in 2003. When she opposed, he supposedly jerked off and spat in her face.
Kelly has reliably denied every one of the charges against him.
Carter, who was 24 at the season of the supposed assault, said she had chosen to stand up in the wake of observing Kelly’s hazardous TV meet with Gayle King, in which he mournfully asserted his informers were “attempting to murder” him.
“I had a feeling that it ought to be a wrongdoing… that he have the capacity to jump on TV and falsehood,” Carter said.
“It’s really the reason I’m here.”
With tears moving down her face, the 40-year-old depicted how she had thought of Kelly as “a sibling” and safeguarded him against before charges of maltreatment.
“I would tell individuals, ‘appeal to God for him’. He is in no way like they state,” she revealed to CBS News reporter Jericka Duncan.
She proceeded to relate her supposed attack in realistic detail, and portrayed the enduring effect it has had on her life.
