A judge in Venezuela has reported that detained official Juan Requesens will confront preliminary for supposedly attempting to slaughter President Nicolás Maduro in 2018.

Mr Requesens was captured three days after an automaton conveying explosives exploded at a military procession gone to by Mr Maduro on 4 August.

The restriction lawmaker, who denies the charges, could confront 30 years in jail whenever found blameworthy.

President Maduro was not harmed in the assault.
