An Italian court has decided that an Eritrean man removed to the nation for individuals carrying was the casualty of mixed up character.
Medhanie Tesfamariam Behre was confused with the affirmed dealing boss Mered Medhanie – known as The General.
He has gone through the previous three years in jail demanding he was not who examiners said he was.
On Friday the court conceded its mistake, in spite of the fact that it gave Behre a five-year sentence for supporting individuals sneaking.
He was anyway permitted to walk free in view of the time he had effectively spent in a correctional facility.
“Following three years at long last the judge affirmed what we have been stating: we had a rancher in prison and a bootlegger everywhere,” Behre’s legal counselor Michele Calantropo told the Guardian.
Mr Calantropo said his customer would claim against his conviction for individuals sneaking. He included Behre – a dairy ranch specialist and intermittent craftsman, as per his family – had connected for haven in Italy.
