English Airways has dropped all flights to the Egyptian capital Cairo for seven days as a security “safeguard”.

Travelers going to load up a BA trip to the city from London’s Heathrow Airport were informed that it was dropped – and that there would be no elective flights for seven days.

The aircraft did not determine what the security issue was.

A representative for Cairo air terminal told the BBC the air terminal still couldn’t seem to be informed by BA of any such changes.

A BA representative stated: “We always survey our security game plans at all our airplane terminals around the globe, and have suspended flights to Cairo for seven days as a precautionary measure to take into consideration further appraisal.

“The wellbeing and security of our clients and team is forever our need, and we could never work an air ship except if it was sheltered to do as such.”
