A French designer has bombed in his endeavor to cross the English Channel on a fly controlled flyboard.
Franky Zapata, a previous stream ski champion, had been planning to cross from northern France to southern England in only 20 minutes.
Be that as it may, the 40-year-old fell into the water most of the way crosswise over as he attempted to arrive on a pontoon to refuel.
He took off from close Calais on Thursday morning and was setting out toward St Margaret’s Bay in Dover.
Mr Zapata was not harmed when he fell.
“It is a colossal dissatisfaction,” a colleague France’s BFM TV not long after the flight. “He more likely than not missed the stage by only a couple of centimeters.”
“We rehearsed this move many occasions in heavier oceans,” he included.
