Srinagar: In involved Kashmir, Indian authorities affirmed that upwards of 343 legislators, business pioneers and little youngsters, booked under dark law Public Safety Act, have been moved to prisons in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana since the expulsion of the exceptional status of the region by the Indian government.
The authorities said that 239 people were stopped in four prisons of UP and 104 at two correctional facilites in Haryana.
In UP, the prisoners are held up in prisons at Agra, Varanasi, Bareilly and Ambedkar Nagar, the authorities said. Those moved have been reserved under the draconian law, Public Safety Act.
Those confined outside incorporate previous President of Kashmir High Court Bar Association Mian Abdul Qayoom and top business pioneers Mubeen Shah, Yasin Khan and Shakeel Qalender.
