On Sunday, Fleabags, zombies, and VPs were regarded at LA’s Microsoft Theater for TV’s greatest night of the year — the 2019 Emmy Awards. D’Arcy Carden, star of NBC’s The Good Place and HBO’s Barry, was going to the function just because with two selected shows. To stamp the event, Bustle solicited Carden to keep a journal from her whole day — from the minute she woke up to the minute she left the after gatherings — and share it only with us. Here’s the manner by which her first Emmy Awards went.

6:30 a.m.: I wake up inclination on edge about MY FEET. I realize this will be a difficult day in heels, and the principal thing I consider when I wake up is that. My feet.

8:00 a.m.: I have the last fitting for my Romona Keveza dress with Erica Cloud, and her lord posterior, Farrah in West Hollywood. Erica shocks me with an espresso and I couldn’t be more joyful. A beautician who goes ABOVE and BEYOND! She runs the show.

8:30 a.m.: I surge over to the Joanna Vargas salon in the Sunset Tower for a pre-Emmys facial with the stunning and great Sora. I see Sora once per month, however this is an additional one, explicitly for the Emmys. She makes me glowy and super saturated. I feel new as a dang daisy.

10:00 a.m.: I message my significant other, Jason, “Should I go to pilates or return home and chill with you and Pen?” He messages me back, “It’s the Emmys and you will have a taxing day. Return home and chill with us.” So I do only that! We drink espresso (Jason and me, not Penny), and talk (Jason and me, not Penny), and get midsection rubs (Penny, not Jason and me).
