A man captured at Glasgow Airport on doubt of killing his family eight years prior was kept unintentionally.

Character checks have demonstrated that the man isn’t Xavier Dupont de Ligonnes, Police Scotland affirmed.

The 58-year-old has been on the kept running since his better half and four kids were discovered covered at their home in Nante in 2011.

The kept man was halted at the air terminal in the wake of landing on a departure from Paris.

In an announcement Police Scotland stated: “On Friday, 11 October 2019, a man was captured at Glasgow Airport following data gave to police.

“He was held in police care regarding an European Arrest Warrant gave by the French Authorities.

“Request were attempted to affirm the man’s character.

“Following the aftereffects of these tests it has been affirmed that the man captured isn’t the man associated with violations in France.

“The man has since been discharged.”
