The sister of previous Islamic State gathering (IS) pioneer Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been caught in northern Syria, Turkish authorities state.

The 65-year-old, named as Rasmiya Awad, was kept in a strike on Monday close to the town of Azaz, authorities said.

Turkish authorities, refered to by a few news sources, accept the capture could yield significant insight about IS.

Baghdadi killed himself during an attack by US unique powers on his compound in north-west Syria a month ago.

His demise was hailed as a triumph for US President Donald Trump, however pundits contend that IS stays a security risk in Syria and somewhere else.
