A Pakistani lady, who is hitched to an Indian man in Jammu and Kashmir’s fringe area Poonch, was conceded Indian citizenship on Monday, authorities said.

The authentication of enlistment conceding Indian citizenship to Khatija Praveen, spouse of Mohammad Taj, was given over to her by District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Rahul Yadav at his office, they said.

The authorities said Praveen, who was conceived in Pakistan, was conceded Indian citizenship based on union with an Indian under area 5(1)(c) of the Citizenship Act, 1955.
