A transgender trooper in South Korea says she will sue the military after it expelled her for abusing guidelines following her sex change.

Byun Hui-soo, 22, joined the military as a man yet had sexual orientation reassignment medical procedure a year ago subsequent to experiencing sex dysphoria and psychological wellness issues.

She blamed the military for “profound established bigotry” of sexual minorities.

South Korea stays moderate on issues of sexual personality.

Ms Byun’s case has prompted banter over the treatment of transgender warriors just as those from the more extensive LGBT people group.

All healthy South Korean men are required to do military help for about two years.
