Australia’s New South Wales police have lopsidedly focused on Aboriginal kids under a recurrent perpetrator checking plan, a report has said.

The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC) investigated the instances of 429 kids in 2016-18 under the Suspect Target Management Plan (STMP).

It found that 72% of the youngsters, matured nine to 17, were “conceivably Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander”.

The NSW police tested the report, saying 47% were Aboriginal.
