ISLAMABAD – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was worried over the circumstance in Kashmir and the goals of the issue remains at the highest point of its motivation, a high ranking representative said on Tuesday.
OIC Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir Yousef M Al Dobeay offered the comments at a question and answer session close by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi here.
Dobeay said the OIC was concerned in regards to the circumstance in Kashmir.
“The issue of Kashmir is near our heart and all individuals are on same page with respect to its goals… The goals of both Kashmir and Palestine issues remain at the highest point of the plan of OIC,” Dobeay was cited as saying by the state-run Radio Pakistan.
Dobeay said a proper meeting of OIC was assembled on Pakistan’s solicitation after evacuation of extraordinary status of Jammu and Kashmir by India on August 5 a year ago. He said a point by point report on circumstance in Kashmir will be introduced to the workplace of secretary general upon his arrival.
Prior, Qureshi said the extraordinary emissary was advised in detail on the “human rights circumstance in Kashmir”.
The OIC is a 57-part gathering of Muslim lion’s share countries, including Pakistan. The OIC has normally been strong of Pakistan and regularly agreed with Islamabad on the Kashmir issue.
