Rock legend Elton John is to be honored on a £1,000 gold coin commending his melodic heritage.

He said it was an “astounding honor” and a “really lowering achievement”.

The Royal Mint at Llantrisant in south Wales is to sell coins including Sir Elton’s glasses and straw boater cap to stamp his profession of over 50 years.

Craftsman Bradley Morgan Johnson from Norwich utilized a melodic note configuration to make round exhibitions finished off with cap and tie on a Union banner foundation.
