Happiness star Naya Rivera is absent after her four-year-old child was discovered alone in a pontoon on a lake in Southern California, authorities state.
The 33-year-old leased the vessel on Wednesday evening at Lake Piru, north-west of Los Angeles, the Ventura County Sheriff’s office said.
It said an inquiry and salvage activity was suspended for the time being and “will proceed from the outset light”.
Rivera is most popular for playing team promoter Santana Lopez in Glee.
The melodic satire TV arrangement ran on the Fox organize from 2009 to 2015.

Rivera’s kid was spotted by another boater three hours after the entertainer had taken the pontoon, CBS Los Angeles reports, citing the sheriff’s office.
It says the kid told specialists that he and his mom were swimming – yet she never got again into the vessel.
The missing individual was later officially distinguished as Naya Rivera, a Los Angeles inhabitant.
On Tuesday, Rivera posted on Twitter an image of herself and her child with an inscription “simply both of us”.

Various superstars have called for petitions for the missing on-screen character, including artist Demi Lovato and Harry Shum Jr, who played Mike Chang in Glee.
One more of the show’s stars, Heather Morris, wrote in her Instagram story: “We need all the supplications we can get the chance to carry our Naya back home to us. We need your adoration and light.”
Jackée Harry, who showed up in the sitcom The Royal Family, posted a clasp of her acting nearby Rivera.
“Please God, don’t stop this life,” she said.
