A young kid has been slaughtered in a shark assault off the northern shore of New South Wales in eastern Australia, police say.
The 15-year-old was riding when he endured extreme leg wounds at Wooli Beach, 630km (390 miles) north of Sydney, as per witnesses.
Close by surfers came to help, including one who is accounted for to have attempted to pull the shark away.
Emergency treatment was given on the sea shore however the kid passed on at the scene.
“A few board-riders provided to his with some timely help before the harmed teenager would benefit from outside intervention to shore,” a police explanation said.

One observer said the shark may have been an extraordinary white. They are dynamic in the territory during this season.
This is the fifth lethal assault by a shark in Australia this year.
In April, a shark assaulted and murdered a 23-year-old Queensland officer on the Great Barrier Reef.
In another lethal assault in June, a shark bit the leg of a surfer off Kingscliff, 800km (500 miles) north of Sydney.
